The ancient city of "VASUDHANAGARI", now known as VASAD, situated on the banks of holy river Mahisagar, is the gateway to Charotar. Due to favorable conditions, Vasad always kept in pace for progress. For people dwelling in urban areas as well as students, Vasad has become a favorite picnic spot. Vasad is the junction between Bombay and Ahmedabad on western railway. There are two railway bridges along with two road bridges, which join "VAKAD" area to "CHAROTAR". To fulfill the need of skilled manpower, Government of Gujrat has started Industrial Training Institute at Vasad – in 1993. Initially started with 05 trade having 152 sanctioned seats

Industrial Training Institute Vasad started functioning since 1993 with 136 seats in 09 trades with a rich landscape area and remarkable tree plantation in the compound of 8589 sq mtr. Land, which provides a nice atmosphere for vocational training to remarkable quality standard. The location of institute is such that petrochemical area, Nandesari industrial estate and Ranoli industrial estate are at 3 km radius walk-able distance. At present Industrial Training Institute – Vasad has an intake capacity of 308 seats in 10 Trades under craftsmen training scheme.

At present the institute is having workshop building, one administrative building. The institute not only imparting futuristic craftsman training but also arranging social and extra activities like motivation camp, plantation camp, quiz competition camp, inter institute sports week and apprentice engagement camp regularly. Institute also acts as a catalyst to cater to need of various industries by arranging offline and online campus interview and recommendations.
